How your clients can save more than $500 on their continence needs

Did you know the Australian Government’s Continence Aids Payment Scheme (or CAPS for short) helps people with incontinence meet some of their costs for purchasing continence products?

If your patients haven’t applied already, they can save some serious money! To be eligible they’ll need to be an Australian citizen or permanent resident over 5 years with:

  • Permanent and severe loss of bladder and/or bowel function caused by an eligible neurological condition; or
  • Permanent and severe loss of bladder and/or bowel function caused by another condition, provided the person has a Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card, whether as a primary cardholder or a dependant of a cardholder; or
  • Permanent and severe loss of bladder and/or bowel function caused by another condition provided the person has a Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) Pensioner Concession Card, whether as a primary cardholder or a dependant of a cardholder.

Once they are accepted into the scheme, they can claim up to $545.80 every year. This includes a wide range of products, such as:

They can choose to get one lump payment or two half payments each year.

Nominate a preferred CAPS provider to save even more.
When your patient fills in their CAPS application form, they’ll be asked to nominate their preferred continence product supplier.

Who they choose is completely up to them. However, nominating Independence Australia means we can save them even more off their continence needs.

How? We offer a great range of free disposable pad samples and free delivery on all online orders. Plus our Cost Savers promotions minimise costs even further, so your patients can make the most of their CAPS payment.

Independence Australia also offers up to $400 credit so patients won’t have to wait for their CAPS funding to come through to start ordering. Click here for more details.
