The Remedy Phytoplex range is made up of a no-rinse cleanser, nourishing moisturiser and barrier cream.

So what makes Phytoplex such a gentle offering?

In Latin, Phyto means botanica, or plant derived and plex is the abbreviation of complex.

The name Phytoplex comes from the blend of plant derived ingredients in the formulas including soy, clove, blue-green algae, and green tea.

Blue green Alage is known for its anti-aging and firming actions. It contains powerful antioxidants and a wealth of vitamins and nutrients that help to stimulate cells and renew firming tissues. It contains a broad spectrum of nutrients including essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, proteins, amino acids and enzymes. Interestingly, there are less than 20 substances that have been discovered that are believed to be required vitamins for human survival, and blue-green algae contains thirteen of them.

Soy is a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent for skin. It is one of many phytochemicals that are biologically active against free radicals. Soy extract’s increased use in anti-aging products is largely due to studies showing that genistein (a component of soy) has a collagen-stimulating effect and that various compounds in soy influence skin thickness and elasticity.

In our Phytoplex formulas, soy functions as a natural humectant, attracting moisture to the skin from the environment and from lower skin layers, while producing a film that helps to reduce moisture loss.

Cloves are the dried flower buds of the clove tree, an evergreen tree that grows in tropical climates. Clove oil is a fantastic antioxidant. It truly is wealthy in minerals like iron, potassium, phosphorus, and sodium as well as vitamin C, and Vitamin A. Cloves have antiseptic properties as well as anti-inflammatory properties. They help to soothe and comfort the skin.

Green tea contains a cocktail of potent antioxidants, which help fight damage caused by free radicals. Antioxidants help in alleviating dry or oily skin by bringing the skin’s natural moisture content back into balance. Additionally, green tea, using its antioxidant properties, helps to protect the skin from free radical damage and aid in the healing of previously damaged skin.
