Aquacel® Ag+ Extra™ is an advanced antimicrobial wound dressing that is designed to fight infection fast. Biofilm is present in 78% of hard-to-heal wounds and is a primary barrier to healing. Aquacel® Ag+ Extra™ combines two powerful healing technologies: MORE THAN SILVER™ and Hydrofiber® Technology. The dressing’s ability to disrupt, destroy and prevent biofilm reformation makes it ideal for hard-to-heal wounds, such as diabetic foot ulcers, leg ulcers and pressure injuries or acute wounds such as surgical or traumatic wounds, including burns. By locking in exudate and maintaining an optimal moisture balance, Aquacel® Ag+ Extra™ reduces maceration and creates a balanced environment for wound healing. The dressing adapts to wound conditions by forming a cohesive gel, which helps to minimise pain associated with dressing changes.
