ADAPTIC TOUCH™ Dressing primary wound contact layer helps protect the wound while minimizing patient pain and trauma on removal

The dressing is designed to facilitate fluid transfer to secondary dressing and minimize both adherence and pain at dressing change

  • ADAPTIC TOUCH™ Dressing is atraumatic to the wound and surrounding skin
  • Protects the wound and works as a primary dressing
  • Helps prevent adherence of the secondary dressing to the wound
  • Minimizes patient pain and trauma at dressing change
  • Allows free passage of exudate, reduces the risk of exudate pooling and maceration
  • May be left in place for several days depending upon amount of exudate
  • Stays in place during dressing application

Comfort

  • In clinical practice, ADAPTIC TOUCH™ Dressing was found by clinicians to provide atraumatic-dressing removal, to be easy to use, and to be rated as good as or better than similar products
  • A case series showed that patients with a range of wound types experienced atraumatic-dressing changes and had reduced overall pain scores with use of ADAPTIC TOUCH™ Dressing

Performance

  • The size of the pores minimizes the risk of granulation tissue in-growth while also maintaining an open area
  • The pore size allows visibility of the wound beneath without the need to remove dressing and disturb the wound
  • ADAPTIC TOUCH™ Dressing stays in place during dressing application, allowing time to apply the secondary dressing
  • In an in vitromodel, the use of ADAPTIC TOUCH™ Dressing in conjunction with a secondary dressing reduced secondary dressing adherence (84% reduction with a foam dressing and 92% reduction with an alginate dressing)

Affordability

  • A consensus document described how well ADAPTIC TOUCH™ Dressing functions in clinical settings over time, particularly in regards to non-adherence to the wound and secondary dressing, atraumatic removal, ease of use and cost-effectiveness
