Mepilex® Transfer is a soft, thin exudate transfer layer designed for use as a primary wound contact dressing. It efficiently draws exudate away from the wound and into a secondary absorbent dressing, such as Mesorb® or Mextra® Superabsorbent, helping to maintain an optimal moist wound environment. Its highly conformable structure makes it easy to apply to even the most difficult-to-dress or contoured areas of the body. Thanks to Safetac® technology?the original gentle silicone contact layer?Mepilex Transfer adheres securely to surrounding skin but not to the wound itself, allowing for atraumatic dressing changes and reducing pain for the patient. It also helps seal wound margins to prevent leakage and reduce the risk of maceration. Key Features & Benefits Atraumatic and Gentle Wound Care Safetac® layer minimises trauma to skin during dressing changes Reduces pain and discomfort for the patient Helps maintain skin integrity, even on fragile or sensitive areas Effective Fluid Management Draws exudate from the wound and transfers it to a secondary absorbent dressing Supports a moist healing environment Reduces the risk of maceration by keeping fluid away from the wound edges Highly Conformable and Easy to Use Soft and flexible for use on difficult-to-dress areas Moulds easily to body contours for close wound contact Can be cut to fit wounds of various shapes and sizes Comfortable for Long-Term Wear Thin and lightweight design for patient comfort Suitable for use under compression or in combination with other dressings Allows for freedom of movement while maintaining protection Versatile Applications Ideal for a wide range of exuding wounds Can also be used as a protective layer on non-exuding wounds or large areas of fragile skin Suitable for use in both hospital and home care settings Mepilex® Transfer delivers gentle, effective wound care that protects both the wound and the surrounding skin?making it a reliable choice for healthcare professionals managing complex or sensitive wound sites.
